2 hour On-Site Training Seminar
Attendees will experience the
3
Dimensional Storytelling
method just as it is implemented
in actual classrooms. Each story starts with an empty tabletop. As the story
is being shared, especially crafted pieces of the story are added to the
table. These pieces are integral to the storyline and provide colorful
visual input that coincides with the verbalized story. The children
(attendees) are all made Junior Storytellers and actively participate in the
story development. Puppets, songs, and role-playing by the children
(attendees) are all incorporated into the presentation. These methodologies
are used to introduce and reinforce unique alphabet, phonics, and numeric
awareness techniques. Increased vocabulary and better communication skills
are encouraged by introducing new words to the children and sharing the
meaning with them. Exercises throughout the story promote use of their
(children/attendees) imaginations and creativity. Each story is themed to
encourage positive behaviors and provide a goal setting mindset. A positive
self-esteem message is left with the children. To assist the children in
developing a greater appreciation for reading, attendees will be shown how
to create their own “Story Box”. Small articles of their choice are placed
in the box. The children (attendees) then use these articles at a later
date, to “Share a story” with their classmates. At the conclusion of
each 3
Dimensional
presentation, each child is given themed
coloring sheets and stickers reinforcing the positive messages embedded in
the story.
At the end of the interactive
storytelling segment, there will be a question and answer period for the
attendees.
Attendees are encouraged to
contact presenters by email with any follow on comments and or questions.
Attendees will be given
Feedback Sheets with pre-addressed stamped envelopes. It is this
feedback that allows Creative Seminars to constantly improve our training
and address your concerns.
